Hello If you connect the station to the TV via a jack cable, the TV speakers no longer work - you can only watch TV via headphones. Is this correct? Is there a way around this without having to tediously plug and unplug the station?

I connected the Philips to the TV via the optical output and it works fine, i.e. sound through both devices. I assume that it would also work with the jack cable.
In the headphone settings of my TV, the speaker link is set to "off", with "on" the sound is only through the headphones. Check the audio settings (headphones) on your TV.

This is exactly the same for me via the reciever. As soon as the jack cable is plugged in, the sound only goes through the headphones.
