Hello, I'm interested in the Dreame L40s Pro Ultra hoover, but protecting my privacy is an absolute priority for me. Before buying, I need confirmation on the following points: 1. Camera Does this model have a camera (front, RGB or other)? Does it use LiDAR (laser) navigation only, without any visual sensors? 2. Data collection What data is collected by the device and the application? Are the maps of my home stored locally or sent to your servers? Is it possible to use the robot without a WiFi connection or without creating an account? Is the data collected anonymised, sold or shared with third parties? 3. Alternatives Is there a complete "offline" mode with no data transmission? 4. Do you have models that fully respect privacy? Thank you very much.

Has a camera at the front. You can activate it if you want to. In theory, the supplier promises that if you don't explicitly activate it, the camera won't record anything and only the laser will be used for orientation. If you activate the camera, you can also set a PIN. LG

Hello,

I recently received the DREAME LS40s Pro ULTRA, but will be returning it due to several concerns:

Data protection: The configuration phase requires an internet connection, and the card is stored on the cloud. This raises questions about the use of my personal data and the possibility of continuing to use the robot if the company goes bankrupt.

Wi-Fi sensitivity: There is no option to disable Wi-Fi, unlike many devices in Europe. However, it seems that the Wi-Fi radio transmitter switches off when the device goes into standby mode (to be confirmed).

No direct Wi-Fi connection: I couldn't find this feature, which would allow the robot to be controlled via a smartphone without giving it access to the entire network (LAN + WAN).

It's a pity that DREAME is not in line with European standards in these respects, as the device seems to be of good quality, thanks in particular to its advertised suction power.
