Question about Sony E 50mm f/1.8 OSS

Hello, Obviously the question has already been asked but... I've read that if the 50mm lens is specifically adapted to aps-c, this gives a focal length of 50mm. So this one is mentioned as: Sensor compatibility: APS-C. Isn't that an actual focal length of 50mm? And not 75mm? I'm looking for a "general" lens to start learning photography. Ps: bear with me, I'm just starting out in photography 😌 The full format would have avoided the question but I chose to start in photography with an APC-C. Merci pour vos réponses.

The Sony E 50mm f/1.8 OSS lens is designed for APS-C cameras, which means that it offers an equivalent focal length of 75mm in 35mm format. The actual focal length is 50mm, but on an APS-C sensor it is equivalent to 75mm due to the conversion factor of the APS-C sensor.

As a general lens for learning photography, this lens is well suited to portraits and available light shots, thanks to its f/1.8 maximum aperture and OSS optical stabilisation.
