Question about Astro Gaming A40 Tr

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has a comparison between the A50 and this A40 TR? unfortunately I am not happy with the A50 3Gen. No matter how often I adjust the equalizer, the overall sound is always too bassy, even the highs and mids are affected. Female voices almost have a hint of Barry White :-D and the whole sound seems rather muffled.

What exactly do you play on?
Xbox, Ps or Pc?
I own the Astro A40 Tr + Mixamp, A50 and the Steelseries Pro + Gamedac and in my opinion the Steelseries is the best headset of the three.
