Question about Google Nest Hub (2 Gen.)

Hi question in the round: I have had this device for a few months now. I have not activated Gemini but only use it with the classic Google Assistant and have deactivated Motion Sense, Voice Patterns and all optional data collection. So far, this has worked perfectly. For a few weeks now, however, I've had the impression that the Assistant is going stupid. The assistant no longer understands simple questions and commands that were previously executed/answered without any problems. Sometimes it takes umpteen attempts before the device responds to "Hey Google". Conversely, the device recently responded with "I don't know" after Google was mentioned in the news programme. However, the TV is in a different room and the volume was on low. Has anyone had similar experiences?

Helpful answer
Yes, exactly, I've had the same experience. Out of nowhere he'll say something, play some music or turn off the TV.
On the other hand, when you ask for something, it's very difficult.
I have 2 Hubs at home and it often answers me on the other one, at the other end of the house.
I get the impression that Google isn't putting any more effort into these devices and is concentrating on Gemini.
