It's relatively new and the sound is definitely better than the old ones. It depends on what your requirements are, but my son (he uses this as a second monitor and uses Bose sound) thinks it can be described as 'good'.

Hello. There are no miracles. Speakers are good enough for listening but not for music.
If you want good sound, you need external speakers.
Personally, that's enough for me and I'm very happy with the screen. And if I want good sound, I use headphones or an external speaker.
