How big (deep) is the steel plate (clamp) under the table? I have about 5 cm of space under the table and then my table frame will be placed.

I have mounted the monitor arm and cannot say exactly how big it is to the millimetre due to the space available.
I have measured the following:
5mm thick
Depth about 65mm
Width 60mm
I hope you can make some sense of it.

is no problem, the foot is screwed on from above, so it takes a maximum of 1 cm from below to mount it.
