How exactly does the KVM switch work? Can I connect 2 PCs via USB-C and switch or does the second PC have to be connected via the normal USB upstream port and another graphics input?

I honestly haven't found out, but what I can say is that it only has 1x DP and 1x USB hub connector, so you are already limited...
