The DJI Phatom 3 Advanced has a theoretical range of up to 3.5km according to the manufacturer. However, in Switzerland, a flight is only permitted on sight and therefore ends at a maximum of 300-500m. The range is therefore many times higher than the permitted range.
However, you must also bear in mind that radio, especially such high frequencies 2.4Ghz, cannot stand obstacles and therefore the range is massively reduced. So never fly behind a building, mountain etc., otherwise this could go wrong very quickly.
Please inform yourself about the laws beforehand at the FOCA! Many things are forbidden and even more will become so if there are even more people who do not obey the laws. We can still be very happy here in Switzerland with these "simple" laws! Things don't look like that in other countries.
