I've been using the monitor for office work for some time now and am very satisfied because you can place two A4 pages next to each other perfectly. My wife also has one and she uses it once on her PC via DP and once on her notebook via HDMI. As far as I know, the monitor automatically recognises when something is connected, so you don't need to change anything.

The monitor is well suited for office work. In the standard setting, it automatically recognises which input it should use. However, you can of course also switch it manually. The only flaw: the built-in speaker falls short of the good picture.
