Question about Razer Tartarus Pro

How to use it to get analog movement? I want to get this so I can control the movement in games just like with an analog stick. It seems this pad has a real analog stick (instead of a 8 way dpad) so that would already help. But what about the analog presses of the keypad? If you want to walk slower you press only lightly but is it a full analog movement on the WASD (as with the analog stick)? And in that case will it be recognized as a controller (to have X - Y positive and negative axis on the WASD)? Because it would be then useless for those (many) games that do not support dual input (controller + mouse).

Hello
the way you ask and imagine it, it doesn't work!
the thumb pad is also just a pad with a stick dome (is detachable) that is attached. use that for gaming? you'll break your fingers, in good german.
you can use the pad like the second pad on the x-box and ps controller for selecting items, etc etc.

I am not sure if I have understood the question correctly, but here is my attempt to answer it:

The thumb joystick clicks in any direction and is pretty much an 8 way keypad. So it's pretty sure it's not analogue.

The other buttons measure the pressed depth with laser/light. in the software for the pad you can set a threshold (depth of the press) and set a second assignment e.g.: low

press = treshold1= W
Press deeply = threshold2 = Shift+W.

In this way, you could set it so that you run slowly when you press lightly and quickly when you press fully. However, only 2 assignments can be made per key with this technique, no more.

So I don't think it meets your analogue requirements.

However, I can say that it is a great gaming pad. Ergonomically top, pressing absolutely precise, super smooth feeling and hardly any noise.
