I am looking for a super telephoto lens for wildlife photography and I am hesitating between this lens (Nikon 200-500) and the Sigma 60-600. I should also mention that I already have a 70-200. My main concern is the image quality. Can you give me some tips?

I bought this lens in 2015 and have been very satisfied. Recently, I had an error display on the camera. Then I noticed that from zoom 250 onwards, this error display came up every time I released the shutter. In addition, I could no longer shoot a series. Now I have sent the lens in for repair. The answer: the cost of the repair exceeds the cost of buying a new lens. Of course I am very disappointed and am thinking about buying the same lens again. At least with a warranty extension. But the quality is still excellent. Now I'll wait and see.

I think lens tests on the net would be better than the subjective opinion of buyers who usually only have one of the two lenses. I know a satisfied owner of the 200-500. Personally, I would also buy the Nikon lens for a Nikon, if there is such a thing (with Canon EF there is only a 100-400 and no longer telephoto zoom).
