I am potentially interested in this 3D scanner as part of my thesis where I am measuring soil samples not with a view to printing them in 3D (although why not one day) but simply to measure their volume (in cm3) more quickly than I am already doing via other methods. Time to beat: 5min for relatively cylindrical samples of about 5cm in diameter, 5 to 7cm high and generally around 150 and 250 cm3. Can this scanner do this? (The scan will probably have to be an assembly of two scans of the object in two different positions in order to also measure underneath the sample).

According to the information received from the department responsible, this model is not recommended for the intended use. We advise you to turn to a specialist company to recommend a scanner.
