I bought the HP Omen Transcend 14 (43708898) Ultra 9 model and unfortunately the fan is very audible even when on idle, if the dedicated GPU is used, the laptop is like a jet. It is very unfortunate because the laptop is really good.

I originally wanted to get this Zenbook but I thought CHF100 extra and get an RTX 4070 is worth a no brainer.

My question is, how is the fan? Is it audible when on idle or using normal surfing, Office work etc? I will return this HP and get the 10% hit and grab this Zenbook if the fan is quiet..

The Zenbook also has a fan. Normally barely audible. However, it can be heard under heavy CPU load (e.g. image processing), but quietly.
