I bought these headphones to replace the QC 35 II, but I'm not (yet) really impressed. Unfortunately, I no longer have my old ones and can't make a direct comparison... but it seems to me that the ANC was better with the old ones, without music. Could some of you please confirm what is (almost) completely filtered with your headphones, even when no music is playing, ANC at 100%, e.g. piano, voices or hoover in the next room ... or other examples. Thank you very much!

Thanks for your answers so far. I can see that you are assuming a DAU here ;-). Yes, I know how to set and operate the headphones. ANC is set to 100%.
I'm really only interested in your experience, how much is really filtered out.

For the Bose Ultra, you need to install an app on your mobile to adjust the active noise cancellation (ANC) level. There are some predefined settings and you can also create your own. For example, in "Quiet" mode, the ANC is activated at 100% and is stronger than on the Q32 II (I have both). On the other hand, you can also set the ANC to 0%, where all ambient noise is transmitted into your headphones - it feels like you're not wearing headphones at all.

The ANC is very powerful. But I don't have the QC35. It performs much better than on my old bose QC15, sony XM3 and XM4. Are you sure you're in "quiet" mode? You'll also see more objective tests online that prove it. On the other hand, they are less tight on the head: the foam compresses less and perhaps lets a little more sound through.
