I even still have screenshots from yesterday as it said 260 Hz at the bottom... suddenly 144 Hz...but 260Hz in the description.

If you connect it to your PC via DisplayPort, you can achieve up to 260 Hz. The built-in standard refresh via HDMI is a maximum of 144 Hz.
