Question about Sigma 18-300mm DC macro OS HSM (C), Canon EF-S

I have a Canon EOS with the 18-55 lens and an 80-200 zoom from my old analogue Canon. I wanted to replace these with the Sigma 18-300. But I have almost no difference in magnification between the old 200 and the Sigma with 300. I am disappointed with it as I thought it zoomed noticeably more at 300. does anyone know about it?

You probably just had the wrong expectations. There are various focal length simulators on the net. E.g. Nikon: https://www.nikon.de/de_DE...
