I have a Dell XPS 15 9520 laptop and a new Samsung Odyssey 49' monitor with 5120x1440 resolution and 240Hz refresh rate. Now I am looking for a docking station that would support the resolution and refresh rate. Is this the right product for me or what alternatives are there?

With this docking you should achieve 5120x1440@120hz with 8bit color mode from what we found.
If you require 240Hz, we found the following model which will achieve it on this docking via DisplayPort:
CalDigit TS4 (Thunderbolt, 17 ports)
