I have a GSP 550 and now I wanted to get a GSX 1200, as I hope for better localisation when gaming. However, the GSP 550 only comes with a USB connection - which is absolutely weak for a headset in this price range. As I understand it, the headphones and MIC are plugged into the GSX 1200 with 2x 3.5 mm jacks and not via USB. This requires this product (UNP PC cable), which, lo and behold, is not supplied with the GSX either. Oh man, customer-oriented compatibility within their own product series seems to be a foreign word at Sennheiser. You want to spend over 400CHF for a headset with sound card and it fails because of a 5 franc cable, which is also not available anywhere, simply weak from Sennheiser. Are there any alternatives to this connection cable? What is the name of the connection on the Sennheiser GSP 550 headphones? If anyone can help me, thank you in advance.
