I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15", mid 2015), resolution 2880 x 1800 pixels. Can I use this monitor as a second screen, will the picture be reasonably OK? Which connection do I use from the Mac to the second monitor (Thunderbolt 2 or HDMI)?

Helpful answer

Both (HDMI and Thunderbolt 2) support resolutions up to 4K. However, the HDMI port on the MacBook can only display up to 30Hz at full resolution on this monitor, while Thunderbolt 2 gives you 60Hz. It's best to use a Thunderbolt 2 to DisplayPort (= mini DisplayPort to DisplayProt) cable/adapter.
