I have an asus rog gl703vm with win 10 and a gtx 1060. The monitor is connected via HDMI and the PC also recognises it, but the monitor still remains black. The graphics card and monitor drivers have already been updated.

Correct resolution selected? Only HDMI port 2 is 4k.
