I have an odd desk with a metal frame close to the wall/side of some drawers, I am unsure if the desk-clamp will fit. I see that it can be attached to desks up to 55mm thick - but how much front-to-back / side-to-side is needed for the underside of the clamp to attach to the desk?

Answer

The bracket that goes from the foot along the edge of the table to the chamber is about 7mm thick. The foot itself stands completely on the table. The clamp is tightened with a screw thread. The pin has approximately the same diameter as the foot.
