Question about Lexon Flip

I have had the Lexon Flip since noon today but it only shows the time it is searching for a signal. Do I have to put it outside? It's not exactly ideal in the cold temperatures. My husband has the same alarm clock and it shows the time without any problems.........

I have the Lexon Flip WITHOUT RCC radio. Attention: there are 2 versions > the Lexon Flip Travel (no radio clock) and then there is the Lexon Flip+ (radio clock, recognisable by the radio symbol next to the digits!). The "PLUS" makes the difference.
