Question about Xiaomi S20+

I have just bought the xiaomi s20+ robot hoover. I previously had the mi mop essential and the xiaomi s12. I was always very satisfied with the suction power and was particularly looking forward to the carpet detection with this new model. To my dismay, the s20+ doesn't even want to drive over my high-pile carpet (just under 2 cm), let alone vacuum it. It gives it a wide berth! Even when I start it directly on the carpet, it quickly leaves again. I've tried surface cleaning, switching off carpet detection, but nothing has had any effect. The previous models had no problems with it. Does anyone have any tips for me on how to get the vacuum cleaner to vacuum my carpet? And preferably with carpet detection, as that's the main reason I bought it... these new sensitive models are pretty stupid. 😒

Had the same problem. Turnoff carpet recognition. That solves the problem.

What sucks is that you can't tell the vacuum anymore to do the vacuuming several (3) times.

Thats really crappy.

I bought the Xiaomi S20+ about 3 months ago and it has carpet detection, which works very well indeed.

good question, i have that problem too... i think you can only wait for software updates, or the robot just can't do it...
