I have the VG289Q1A as well as the Philipps 278E1A. I use both monitors in different places with the same HDMI cable and the same notebook to expand the notebook monitor display. However, with the Asus I have a maximum resolution of 2560*1440, with the Philipps I have 3840*2160. Anyone have an idea what the problem could be?

Hello, I use the Asus VG289Q with 4k, once via DisplayPort and once via HDMI. Both work. You hear/read on the net that you should use the DP if possible, as more data can be transferred that way. Do you have a docking station with DP? Otherwise, the screen does not seem to be recognised correctly. Hmm...
