Question about Adam Audio D3V

I keep reading that the tweeter doesn't work properly at low volume. Then the loud bang when switching on the D3V (or when waking up from standby) with the computer switched on. How quietly can the D3V be used reliably or does the tweeter work? And is the popping sound still present and a problem when switching on?

I only have them since the end of November and use them mainly for editing. I had once a louder crack as they woke up, but in general they turn on and off quietly. I use them at normal volume, therefore I had no chance to test them at lower volumes.. But over all, you get very good value for the money. The build quality is good and they sound awesome. But I am no Audiophile.. The only thing that annoys me a bit is, that the connecting cable (between the 2 speaker) is rather short. I am happy with the purchase, and recommend the speaker.. Good luck..

A follow up on my reply earlier.. Yes, I recognised cracking in my speaker, but only after the Computer was switched off and the speaker where still on.. This is not an issue with the speaker. Its probably bc they don’t get a signal from the computer when the computer is in Standby.. The cracking does not appear when the computer is in use.. Just switch the speaker off, when the computer is in Standby.. As said earlier, the speaker are great value for the money!!
