I only know the product from streaming. Can I then, so to speak, connect the console to my PC and play with it, or output the picture via my PC with sound and everything? So far I have always changed the output on the monitor. It was always annoying with the sound, because I always had to reconnect.

Yes, you only need the Game Capture software from Elgato - but it would also be possible to use an HDMi switch.
