Question about StarTech LTLOCKNBL Laptop Security Lock (4 digit adjustable combination lock, f

I recently bought a bunch of these locks for our office. They are basically the ones that fit the Noble Wedge security slot on our Dell notebooks. I was able to set the number combination, so far all good. However, as soon as I insert the lock into the slot and try to change the number combination to lock the lock, the number wheels lock most of the time. Therefore: it rarely works, but mostly the wheels jam (you can hardly get 1-2mm further). This is very tedious to use. With one lock, I tried for half an hour until it worked, then it sometimes worked a few times until it jammed again. This affects several locks and also with several devices, so it is not a single defect in just one of the locks or one of the notebook slots. Do you have any information that could help us?

The StarTech LTLOCKNBL locks often jam when the number combination is adjusted after insertion into the Noble Wedge slot, which makes them difficult to use. This is usually due to the sensitive precision mechanics of the number wheels. To avoid this problem, you should turn the number wheels with light pressure and patience while pressing the lock lightly into the slot. It helps to move the wheels gradually and to look out for noticeable "clicks". The behaviour affects several locks and slots, but does not indicate defects, but rather a mechanically tight tolerance. If there is no improvement, replacement or a different model may be advisable.
