Question about Kenwood CRST40DABM

I use the Pure Moment Charge as a wake-up radio. The sound quality is subterranean. You can hardly understand the news, especially with male voices. Mumble-mumble... I'd like a wake-up radio with crystal-clear sound, bass is irrelevant (a rumble like the Pure Moment Charge isn't bass either...). Does the Kenwood CR-ST40DAB have the desired clear sound for intelligible voices?

I agree with mikado and refer to my original review of the clock radio. Although not comparable with the hi-fi system, the CRST40DABM has a good and clear sound, and the news (and voices) are also clearly understandable. I've had the alarm clock in my bedroom since November. All in all, I am very satisfied.

Exactly. mikado has put it in a nutshell. I can only agree with that. It's enough for me as a clock radio.

The Kenwood clock radio is not crystal clear either, but I am satisfied and can understand my programmes. Compared to my stereo system, the sound is muffled, but as I said, it's good enough as a clock radio in the bedroom (on the bedside table). I don't need to fill the whole room with sound.
Conclusion: Not top, but sufficient.
