Question about Dell UltraSharp U2722DE

I want to connect a not exactly new PC tower via DisplayPort/USB and an HP Elitebook x360 G8 via USB-C to this monitor and only use a mouse/keyboard/webcam. I want to be able to switch directly from one device to the other with one click, so that I can work on both devices quasi simultaneously. If the Elitebook is loaded at the same time, that would also be an advantage. Does this work as described ?

In any case, the screen has two upstream USB ports. However, the second one has no DisplayPort and no charging function (PD). Which is not necessary in your case. I would say it works. But I'm not 100% sure. Unfortunately, I don't have a PC at the moment to test it.
