Question about Philips Hue White & Color Ambiance BT
I want to screw this lamp into the existing socket of the ceiling lamp. I would like to be able to adjust the brightness and colour via the app (without a bridge) and switch it on and off via the existing (mechanical) light switch. Question: Does the lamp save the last setting so that when it has power again it lights up with the same setting? Or does it light up in a predefined setting? Can I program this myself (e.g. colour warm white, brightness 50%)?

These lamps can be controlled via BT as well as Bridge. After a successful connection, the light colour and brightness can be set. These settings are saved so that when the lamp is switched on via the switch, it lights up according to the settings. What is not possible, however, are functions such as automatic dimming (brighter, darker). For this, a bridge would be necessary. But as soon as the lamp has power, you can switch it on/off, dim it, change the colour, etc. with the app. Due to persistent problems with connecting, I bought a bridge relatively quickly. However, I suspect the problem is with my Android device and not with the lamp.

Since they are BT Hues, they work without a bridge. You can set the switch-on behaviour in the Hue app. I don't know if you can set them without a bridge, because I have one.
First of all, I'm not sure if it's a good idea not to buy a bridge, because I didn't know you could control the bulbs without one. But you've probably read up on that.
But now to the real question: When you switch them on via the mechanical light switch, they automatically go into a warm white state. (Also a reason why I would rather buy a bridge and Hue dimmer switches if I were you.
Oh, and before I forget, it's also possible that you flip the switch and they don't come on at all, because they have a power failure fuse, which is supposed to ensure that if a power failure is over, for example in the middle of the night, not all the lights come back on.
