Unfortunately, Canon itself cannot answer when the lens will be available. Answer on 06.02.2024 from Canon: Please check our online shop on Wednesday and Thursday to see if they are available, because that is when they are delivered. This answer is also very satisfying for me. (meant ironically)

I was able to buy the lens at melectronics this week. Was on sale twice, but no longer available at the moment. Demand is high. Apparently Canon has a supply bottleneck.

I found the same lens in the melectronics shop a fortnight ago, ordered it immediately and was able to pick it up 24 hours later. Unfortunately they are no longer in the range at melectronics. I also saw that there were no more available on the day of collection. I probably got the last one.
