I wanted to use the Picture By Picture feature. And get two tiny 1920x1080 pictures. I had expected two 1920x2160. Very disappointed with that but as a single monitor, it is truly excellent.

Answer

I don't own this monitor, but I know that in some cases HDMI cables limit the maximum resolution. You might get higher resolution with different latest specs HDMI cables or if you use DVI. The maximum resolution of HDMI is limited by available bandwidth.
