I would like to buy a fixed focal length for travel, portrait and landscape photography. 1st question: Is a fixed focal length of 50mm suitable for my uses (mentioned above)? 2nd question: This lens is labeled with a focal length of 50mm, but in the description it says: Sensor compatibility APS-C/DX (my Sony a5000 has an APS-C). But then it also says focal length APS-C/DX (small-format equivalent) 75mm. Is the 50mm or the 75mm correct on the a5000?

Hello,

50mm is the best fixed focal length for your application.
The rest is a bit complicated:
50mm on an APS-C sensor will give the same image detail as a 75mm lens would on a full frame (CMOS) sensor. This has to do with the size of the sensor.
