It is important that the bracket is mounted vertically. Otherwise the function is limited. For example, the horizontal swivel has too little resistance to hold the monitor in position if this swivel axis is not aligned horizontally. To mount the monitor correctly on a sloping wall, a wedge would be needed to compensate for the slope.
