In Germany the lens costs 619 Euros (660 Fr.) with 19% VAT and here the importer wants CHF 910. Sorry but this game has become a bit ridiculous. Especially for such a lens, which will remain a niche product anyway.

Helpful answer
"We always try to offer a price that is in line with the market" Well, the UPE of OWY is surely not a price that is in line with the market, especially since the 90 F2.8 macro from Sony or the 105 F2.8 macro from Sigma are both cheaper. By the way, the competitors from Mägenwil have it in their shop for 799.-, also too expensive, but still a better price than OWY's UPE. The same applies to the 24mm F2...
Then let's wait until the prices of the two fall below 700.-, before then hardly anyone will buy one of the two.

Yes Sigma is now a frontrunner in inflated prices at launch. You can buy this lens on Amazon, for example, for 600 (including delivery and customs clearance and right of return). It's a shame that Digitec doesn't take countermeasures here and, for example, imports the lens itself and offers it at a lower price.

In Switzerland, the delivery conditions and the corresponding prices are different from those in Germany. Unfortunately, product prices in Switzerland tend to be more expensive than in Germany. We always try to offer a price in line with the market. However, this is not possible for all products.
