In the description it says "4 USB 3.1 Gen1 ports in the front" under specifications it says "USB 3.0 Type-A 4 x" which applies? Jay

They are both the same thing. The confusion over the names is explained as follows: "USB 3.1 is also known as USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbps). USB 3.0 is capable of data transfer speeds up to 5Gbps. USB 3.0 is also known as USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5Gbps). "
