Is a double-sided sheet scanned on both sides when it is scanned? And is the scanned document (mostly PDF) sent straight to the PC or how does that work? Is it possible to use the printer without an app on Mac or iPhone?

Yes, the feeder can also turn the sheet, i.e. scan on both sides. The operation is very simple, both via the app and the Windows programme. The generated image or PDF can be "shared" in many ways, i.e. emailed, saved, etc. From an iPhone, you can also print directly via AirPrint without an app, and from a PC anyway.
