Question about Nikon AF-S Nikkor 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR
Is an FX lens on a DX camera problematic or does it work without problems? Have read many answers to this question but nowhere have I read a simple answer. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance

As long as the connection is the same or is supported by your camera, this is usually not a problem. The cropfactor simply has to be taken into account.

I use this lens on a Nikon D7500 (DX format) and previously on a D7000. It has always worked perfectly.
As far as this lens is concerned, it's not a problem because the connection fits.
But it is unnecessary because it is too big and too heavy. The advantage of the DX system is that it saves weight and bulk.
It would make sense to minimise edge blur. But with modern lenses that shouldn't be necessary.
