Yes, this works on both DisplayPort and HDMI, both on RTX 3080 graphics cards.
I am using a Gigabyte RTX 3080 Vision OC on the monitor and both have been tested.

According to the manufacturer, it should be possible to achieve the stated resolution and refresh rate on the ASUS TUF 3080 card via a DP connection, but as we haven't tried this combination yet, it would be good to ask ASUS support if they can give a definitive answer - https://www.asus.com/ch-de/support/CallUs/
