Question about Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 - G80SD
Is it true that the Anti Glare coating has been changed on the newer models? Do the models being sold now still have the same coating as when this monitor was launched or are they now using the same (duller) coating of the 81SF model? Thanks in advance.
Would it change anything about the purchase decision? It's a really good 4k screen with backlight, a matte display, high fps, G-Sync. etc.

Colours and text are razor sharp. I'm very picky and the screen is definitely not the problem. Please make sure you have good cables and set the colour depth and compression bits correctly on the PC. 4k at high refresh rates is a lot of data, which must be able to reach the screen.
I have the screen on a monitor arm and have been very happy with it for a long time. The original stand was also great, no idea what was supposed to vibrate or how hard it had to be tapped to transfer it to the screen.

I returned the device and opted for a different model as the font display was not sharp enough and the monitor started to vibrate when typing on the desk. I can't say whether the coating of the display has changed on this model.
