is the docking compatible with the HP EliteBook Folio 1040 G3 ? G2 is on the list, but I haven't found G3 in a hurry. But I would be surprised if G3 was not compatible...

We still have a series of 1040G3s with the docking station. After that we had to switch to the 840 G5/G5 because the 1040s from G4 onwards no longer have a port for the docking. The next generation is now the x360 1040G7, for which we are switching to USB-C dock.
