The Kenwood CR-ST40DAB-M clock radio offers a sleep timer function that automatically switches the device off after the selected sleep time has elapsed. With this function, the music fades out at the end of the sleep timer mode as the device switches itself off.

In the alarm function, the music or the selected alarm tone is faded in to wake the user. The alarm function also includes a snooze function that allows the alarm sound to be interrupted for a certain time (9 minutes by default) and reactivated later.
