Stride length can be adjusted
I always compare when I run with someone. If we run the same kilometres then it's true. Because I always have slightly longer strides as I am 155 cm tall, so my stride length is slightly shorter.

I could only answer this with certainty if I used a second pedometer. But the figure is pretty close and in my opinion it's pretty accurate
