Are the ribbons lamminated, so can they be exposed to water, e.g. by sticking them to vials?

Answer

The TZe-231S is a laminated Std writing tape that is particularly suitable for smooth and flat surfaces. Thanks to its lamination, the writing tape is smudge, weather and scratch resistant. Writing tape cassette, 12mm wide, 4m long, black on white. It is included in the delivery and the machine is therefore pretty much ready to use when you receive it :-)
