Question about G5 Universal Dock - 288457
Is this compatible (i.e. have enough power to charge) the HP Elitebook 1040 G4 notebook PC (ProductID 2FZO7AV)? I have the older docking station but I am not sure if this newer version will work for the laptop. Thanks!

Hello, Not sure regarding your model, but HP Elitebook 840 G6 charges fine.
Please check your laptop charging input. If it is less than 5A for 20V, then this station should be fair enough.
charges mac book pro most of the time as expected (sometimes doesn't but i'd suspect it's a "get a mac" thing)
Also please check if your laptop has charge over USB-C capability
