The mouse is not natively compatible with Logitech's Unifying receiver. It uses a dedicated pre-paired USB receiver, separate from the Unifying receiver. However, it is possible, through advanced technical modifications, to make it work with a Unifying receiver, but this is neither officially supported nor simple to achieve. For standard use, the receiver supplied with the mouse should be used.
