According to HP, the Active Pen G3 is only compatible with the Elite series. This can be seen under the following link "https://store.hp.com/Switzerlan..." and under "Matching products" (far down).
For HP ENVY x360 the following pens are compatible:

https://store.hp.com/Switzerlan...
... under "Matching Products" and I'm sure there are others.
I cannot guarantee what I say. HP can certainly give you information.
