The Lenovo V15 Gen 4 is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 7730U, i.e. a processor from the 7000 series, not the newer 8000 series.

The differences between the two series are as follows:

Ryzen 7000 (e.g. 7520U):
Older Zen 2 architecture, Vega graphics, no AI unit. Solid for office, but technically outdated. Solid for office, media and light tasks.

Ryzen 8000 (e.g. 8840U):
Newer Zen 4 architecture, RDNA 3 graphics, often with integrated AI engine (NPU) for modern applications. Significantly more efficient and future-proof.
