Is it possible that this monitor is only 60 hertz compatible with an xbox series x? Because I can only set it to 60.

You must go to General Display & TV Options --> Video Quality & Overscan --> Display and set it to "HDMI Priority". Then you can set the resolution and refresh rate manually.

The problem occurs more frequently. It may be due to FreeSync, so switch it off. However, I assume that your HDMI cable is not compatible with WQHD 120hz. The Xbox has an HDMI 2.1, so have a look there and get a new cable.

Hello Aaron, that may be possible. Maybe you are using a different hdmi cable or have you looked in the monitor settings, it may need to be set there. It recognised it on the PC but maybe not on the xbox. If your problem is not solved yet try this and hope it helped you.

Or have a look at the samsung specification page to see if you can find something clever.

Kind regards. And happy new year.
